5 food to help your baby sleep better at night.
Have absolutely no idea why your baby is waking up yet again in the middle of the night? Perhaps it is the food they have been eating! (Especially dinner).
Why not try including the following foods during dinner for your little ones to help them sleep better at night? These food helps the body to release sleep promoting hormones and/or substances.
1. White rice
Remember how you absolutely just can't seem to stay awake in office after a heavy lunch? White rice, like other food with carbohydrate, boost the production of serotonin, which can make us feel content and sleepy.
2. Bread
Similar to white rice, bread that are rich in carbohydrates will let your baby feel contented and sleepy!
3. Cherries
The fruit is naturally high in the hormone melatonin, which controls your sleep and wake cycles. The extra dose of melatonin can send a signal to your body that it’s time to go to sleep.
4. Chicken
Lean proteins like turkey, fish, chicken, and low-fat cheese are high in tryptophan, an amino acid that increases serotonin levels.
5. Banana
Potassium and magnesium in bananas are to blame for the sleepy feeling. They help relax your baby and send him off to dreamland.
