5 Important points about your Little One's Immune System.
1. Breast feeding boost their immune system!
Many 'ingredients' of the breastmilk helps to make a strong immune system, including the proteins, sugars, fats, antibodies, and probiotics that it contains.
2. Crucial times!
An infant’s immune system doesn’t mature until around 2 to 3 months, so Mummies and Daddies should pay extra attention and care to the LO's environment.
3. Get dirty!
When your LO is big enough encourage your child to play outside and explore the outdoors, which can help him get a dose of healthy bacteria.
4. Vaccinations!
Vaccines work by mimicking a natural infection, teaching the body’s immune system how to fight off a given invader. This is exceptionally important for parents that are bringing their LO overseas, where certain types of travel vaccines are recommended.
5. Healthy Diet!
Finally, good eating habits provide the foundation for strong immune system development. As an infant, your little one usually gets all the nutrients needed from milk or formula, so supplements aren’t necessary. That said, as your child starts to eat solid foods, include a variety of fruits, vegetables, meats, starches and proteins to keep the immune system running properly.
