LOVI BOTTLE
1. Can the LOVI bottle be boiled after each use and washing up?
The LOVI bottle "Active suction" should be boiled before the first use. While in everyday use, it is enough to rinse the washed bottle with boiling water or sterilize it in a steam or a microwave sterilizer.
2. Can the cap from the self-sterilizing LOVI bottle be used for sterilizing LOVI "Active sucking" and LOVI Medical+ bottles?
The cap from the self-sterilizing bottle fits all other versions of LOVI bottles. It can be used to sterilize the "Active suction" bottle in a microwave. However, microwave sterilization of the Medical+ bottle is not recommended, as it is made of a different type of plastic than the self-sterilizing and the "Active suction" bottles.
3. Is the self-sterilizing bottle to be sterilized only in a microwave oven?
The self-sterilizing bottle comes with a cap, and therefore it is designed for a quick and convenient sterilization in a microwave oven. However, it can also be sterilized using a standard method.
4. Can the food in a silicone multifunctional bottle be heated in a microwave?
The multifunctional bottle can be used to heat up solid foods, but remember to stir the food thoroughly after heating and to check the temperature before serving - a microwave heats up the food unevenly and there is a risk of burns. Natural milk loses its valuable properties when heated in a microwave, which is why we do not recommend heating it in this way in any of the bottles.
5. How is the "Active suction" bottle different from LOVI Medical+ bottle?
The Medical+ bottle is made of high quality, BPA-free material, providing glass-like clarity. Polyamide, from which it is made, is a material highly resistant to damage and scratches, and the paint of the scale and the logo does not come off easily. The Medical bottle looks brand new, despite everyday use. The teats of Medical+ bottles come with a better venting solution than the previous models that can still be found in the old batches of "Active suckling" bottles available on the market. The "Active suction" bottles are made of polypropylene, a standard raw material for most wide neck bottles available on the market. This material is less resistant to scratching and discolouring.
Medical+ bottles are the only bottles on the market made of polyamide. Tritan is another transparent material, but so far it has only been used in the production of narrow neck bottles. It is also less resistant to scalding and boiling than polyamide.
LOVI DYNAMIC FEEDING TEAT
1. Why does it sometimes suck in?
The reason for the teat sucking in may be a glued vent located in the teat collar. It should be gently stretched with fingers before the first use and if sucking in is noticed.
A common cause of the teat sucking in is tightening the nut too much. When the nut is screwed too tightly, the air vent in the teat is closed, and this results in the teat sucking in. To avoid this problem, gently loose the nut to release the teat vent.
This problem is more common in the case of mini flow teats.
The least intensive flow may be an additional factor causing the sucking in. Therefore, it is recommended not to screw the cap too tightly, so as not to close the air vent.
2. What are available teat flows?
The following flow types are available in the LOVI teats: mini (0 +), slow (3m+), medium (6m+), fast (9m+), cereal (6m+), and variable (3m +). The last two types can be used for foods of different density, e.g., cereals, and for children of different ages.
LOVI SOFT BOTTLE INSULATOR
1. How long does it keep the temperature of the food?
LOVI soft bottle insulator keeps the temperature of warm milk in a bottle for about 1.5 - 2 hours on cooler days, and for up to 3 hours on warmer days. In addition, it prevents a bottle of cold water from warming up too quickly on a walk or during travelling. The soft bottle insulator is not a thermos.
2. Does it fit other bottles than LOVI ones?
LOVI soft bottle insulator fits most bottles available on the market.
LOVI HEAT PACK:
1. How quickly does it heat food?
LOVI heat pack heats 150 ml of food up to 36°C in about 20 minutes without using electricity. Just wrap a bottle into a gel insert, put it inside a heat-insulating bag and press the START button. Additional heat-insulating bag keeps the food warm for up to 2 hours after heating. Remember, however, that the ambient temperature, the type of fluid and its original temperature may affect this time and result in lower final temperature.
LOVI UNIVERSAL WARMER:
1. What is the temperature of the heated food?
LOVI warmer reaches the temperature of 40°C and maintains it throughout the operation period.
The heating function has been designed with the baby's safety in mind. The temperature of 40°C is optimal, the food is warm enough, and the risks of scalding the baby's mouth and losing valuable nutrients are eliminated.
2. What is the warmer's bowl used for?
The bowl is designed for heating solid foods such as soups and purees. The food is much more effectively heated in the bowl than in a jar, whose thick glass makes heating difficult. To heat the food evenly, stir it a few times during heating.
3. At what temperature do the spoons attached to the breast pump change their colour?
The spoons change their colour at 40°C. They were designed to help parents in determining the optimum food temperature. Changing colour of the spoon indicates that the food is warm enough to serve.
4. How much water should be poured into the warmer?
It is best to start by pouring small amount of water and checking if after inserting the bottle the water level is above the fluid level in the bottle, as this ensures even heating of the food.
SOOTHING
LOVI DYNAMIC SOOTHER:
1. Should the soother size always match the age range specified on the packaging?
"The information on the soother packaging is a suggestion based on average size of a baby's articulatory apparatus in a specific age group.
However, it often happens that an infant is uncomfortable when the soother is replaced with a bigger one. The babies differ in their birth weight and they fit different developmental levels of the growth chart. It cannot be therefore expected that the same size of a soother is suitable for all the children in the same age group.
We should observe the baby's reaction and not be afraid to stick to a smaller soother for longer. This does not increase the risk of secondary deformations of the articulatory apparatus, especially that in practice this extension does not usually exceed a month or two. " - Aleksandra Łada, NDT SLT Senior Tutor.
2. Which collections come with a holder glowing in the dark?
All soothers from the Day&Night collection have a holder that glows in the dark. If the holder does not glow, simply hold it under artificial light for a few minutes.
DRINKING FROM A CUP
TRAINING AND NON-SPILL CUPS
1. Are the spouts from the training and non-spill cups interchangeable and are they compatible with LOVI bottles?
Standard non-spill cups (except Hot&Cold ones), training cups and LOVI bottles have the same thread width, so they are compatible and can be used with various spouts and teats. Cup holders match the LOVI bottles.
HOT&COLD FRIENDS AND 360° CUPS
1. Are the caps from 360° and Hot&Cold cups interchangeable?
Yes, the caps are compatible: the one from a 360° cup can be used interchangeably with the one from a Hot&Cold Friends cup.
2. Does a Hot&Cold cup come with a heating or cooling function?
No. Hot&Cold Friends collection is a set of four funny little animals. The name of this collection was inspired by summer and winter style prints. However, the cups have no heating or cooling function
3. Is a 360° cup a non-spill cup?
LOVI 360° cup is not a non-spill cup. It was designed for the babies taking their first steps in learning how to drink from a glass. This is the next step after mastering drinking from a training cup and a non-spill cup with a hard spout. An innovative sealing system enables drinking and prevents fluid spills. However, this is not a non-spill cup, as it was designed to coax the babies into the habit of controlling their movements and providing them with the conditions similar to the glass-like drinking, and therefore some fluid may spill out following strong shaking or a fall.
4. Is it possible to buy a seal for the LOVI 360° cup?
Yes. The seal for the LOVI 360° cup is sold separately.
5. Why is the protective cap for the LOVI 360° cup very tight and difficult to remove?
Since the 360° cup is not a non-spill cup, its protective cap was designed so as to strictly adhere to the bottle walls, thereby preventing fluid spills while travelling, when the child does not use the cup.
